Ian White
Ian White, Director, Denton Corker Marshall architects.
Ian White studied architecture at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. Prior to joining Denton Corker Marshall, he spent 5 years at Ansett Airlines with the then Building Projects Department. Roles during this time included those of Project Architect, Project Manager and in a number of cases Construction Manager for a broad range of developments, including hotel planning for the Gateway Hotels group.
Ian joined Denton Corker Marshall in 1986. He was made an Associate in 1997, Associate Director in 2003, and Director in 2007. Ian White spent several months in the Sydney office providing support to that office in the planning and development of Governor Phillip Tower, during the negotiation of the Development Approval. As Project Director, he dealt with Parramatta City Council and NSW authorities on Sydney Water Corporate Headquarters, recently completed.
Ian White’s solid and extensive experience in the complete delivery process for major high rise developments is a key ingredient – he contributes highly developed organisational ability, a detailed understanding of the construction process, consistent attention to brief, budget and programme, and constructive Client/Consultant Team/Contractor relationships.
Ian is currently Director in Charge of the UTS Broadway Building, a $170 million new building for the University of Technology Sydney, and leading the preliminary phases of the redevelopment of The Windsor Hotel in Melbourne.
