The Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre is a multi-purpose world class sporting facility located in Albert Park.

The Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC) was developed over 18 months between 1996 and 1997. In 2002, it was announced that MSAC would be expanded in time for the 2006 Commonwealth Games.

The centre now includes:

  • 50 metre indoor competition pool, 25 metre lap pool and a multi-purpose pool
  • 50 metre outdoor pool
  • wave pool including toddlers play area
  • spa, sauna and steam room
  • water slide
  • dive boards
  • hydrotherapy pools
  • 50 metre outdoor swimming pool
  • fitness centre
  • wellness zone
  • hydrotherapy pool
  • pilates studio
  • exercise program room
  • changing rooms
  • 10 indoor basketball courts
  • 10 squash courts
  • 12 badminton courts
  • 18 table tennis tables
  • three volleyball courts.

Major Projects Victoria was involved in the redevelopment from initiation to completion. The site is managed by the State Sports Centre Trust and undergoes continuous redevelopment to maintain its facilities to a world class standard.
