The $400 million Kew Residential Services redevelopment project involves the redevelopment of the former Kew Cottages facility into a high quality housing development.

The Kew Residential Services redevelopment integrates 20 community homes for 100 former Kew Residential Services residents with intellectual disabilities with more than 260 private dwellings in a high quality housing development.

The redevelopment represents an important investment in the current and future needs of people with a disability.

A further 73 offsite houses were also delivered as part of the project by the Department of Human Services and the Office of Housing. These houses were completed and delivered in July 2006.

The project is governed by a joint venture development agreement between the State, represented by Major Projects Victoria, and the Kew Development Corporation Pty Ltd – a subsidiary of Walker Corporation.
